Meet the Team

---

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, I emigrated, with my family to Australia in 1979. It was here I nurtured my love of cricket, Aussie rules and vegemite! I grew up in the countryside and my father trained racehorses, so life was always surrounded by dogs, horses and obligatory stable cats.

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1996 I worked in various parts of Australia as a mixed animal practitioner, especially black and white cows... Following a three year tour-of-duty working throughout the UK I discovered Lagos, whilst on holidays. It has been a love affair since then.

We are proud of what we have created with the Lagos Vet Clinic. We have managed to source all diagnostic modalities we need to provide a full integrated service for our pets and their owners.

When (rarely) not at work I occasionally have a chance to play golf or tennis, go rock climbing and share time with my fabulous mates, my lovely lady and our little son, Ziggy.

I came over to Portugal last January and I have been a part of the LVC team since the following February, 2019.

Previously, I was working for 3 years in the UK as a vet. I am originally from Cyprus and I got my veterinary degree in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2014.

My 2 cats came with me from the UK and they have been enjoying the Portuguese weather since!

My free time includes Brazilian jiu jitsu and baking for the gang at the clinic. 

Born and raised in Lagos, I've always felt a deep connection to both animals and the sea.

 My childhood was filled with the joy of exploring the coastline and playing with my dogs. This love for animals led me to pursue Veterinary Medicine at the University of Évora.

After completing my studies, I returned to Lagos, where I found my place in this amazing team. Along the way, I adopted Mellow, an abandoned cat who quickly became my loyal companion.

When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll likely find me enjoying my favorite hobbies: dancing, scuba diving, playing the piano, or getting lost in a good book. I’m grateful every day to combine my passion for veterinary medicine with the lifestyle I love here in beautiful Lagos.

I'm originally from Torres Vedras, but I’m now proud to call Lagos my home.  

I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in FMV-ULisboa in July 2024, driven by a deep passion for animal care.

I'm lucky to share my life with my three pets. Freddie "the cutest dog"; my cat Galileu "the boss" and Tininha "the youngest kitten of the pack"

I'm committed to provide the same care and love for your pets as I do for my own.

I was born and raised in the Portimão area.

I`m a huge animal lover, growing up we always had dogs.  Nowadays I have a dog called Mason and six cats, Layne, Lazarus, Morgana, Soeki, Echo and Sparrow.

For a long time all I wanted to do was work with animals so I volunteer in the Portimão Municipal Kennel and I studied and qualified to be a Veterinary Assistant, after that I qualified for Animal Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

I`ve been a part of the LVC team since January 2019.

I'm from Torres Vedras, I came to Lagos in 2007

I've always wanted to work in this area since I was little, every time someone asked me what do you want to do when you grow up, I always said working with animals.

I took the veterinary assistant course in 2019, I was part of the association Cadela Carlota part of the cats for 5 years.

I love animals, especially cats, I was 4 years old when I had my first cat Siamese (Bia), since then my love for cats has been growing, nowadays I have 4 cats (Flocky, Belinha, Kari and Wendy), all adopted.

I work with these amazing team since 2022.

On my free time I love to read.

I was born in Singen, Germany. I moved to Lagos when I was only 4 years old. 

I've always dealt with and had pets since I was born. In Germany we always had cats, but when we moved here we lacked a canine companion. In the meantime, I had the pleasure of acquiring my own two animals, Noa and Mia, an American staff and a cat. 

I'm fluent in three languages, German, Portuguese and English. 

I completed my 12th year in electromechanics, but my real passion was working with animals, and that's when I decided to take a veterinary assistant course.

I joined the team in 2022.

I came over from London in 1988 as a holiday rep and have been here ever since. My two children were born and raised here but have since left, each on their own adventures.

I first came to the vet clinic in 2008 with my little terrier:

Churchill and we got on so well I stayed and joined the team!

Lars and I combined strengths to set up and open the new Lagos Vet Clinic in 2011, and have enjoyed watching it grow over the years since then.

I recently adopted a handsome little puppy called Alfie Bean! I also have a rather handsome cat, who was found on the beach as a kitten called Breakfast!

Life includes a great social circle and a little travel when possible!
